What to Expect
“So, how am I going to pay for this?”
When it comes to funding your education, Wartburg Seminary knows financial burdens are real and can often hold people back. We believe that a call to ministry includes a call to seminary, and it’s important for future leaders to have the freedom to choose the seminary to which they feel called. Our responsibility at Wartburg Seminary is to accompany, advocate for, and work with you to ease any financial burdens that come along with seminary.
We stress the importance of financial wellness for our students now and as they enter into public ministry. Take some time to review these resources.
Funding & Aid Opportunities
Wartburg continues to fund 100% of eligible students with renewable generous scholarships, taking the financial burden of choosing a seminary off the table. Incoming and continuing students must apply for financial aid by completing Wartburg’s Financial Aid Eligibility Form. We also know that tuition is not the only factor that creates financial burdens. We encourage all of our students to seek outside funding sources in addition to the generous institutional aid we offer.
For students who are active or former military, contact Registrar Kevin Anderson to discuss the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs VA Education Benefits programs at 563-589-0211 or kanderson@wartburgseminary.edu.
Federal student loans are also available to cover costs for qualified students (see 1-3 above) not covered by other sources. The completion of the FAFSA is required prior to loan application for the William D. Ford Direct Stafford Loans, Graduate PLUS loans, and ANB Institutional loans.
Please call or e-mail Director of Financial Aid and Student Services Caren Sellers at 563-589-0206 or csellers@wartburgseminary.edu to discuss financial aid possibilities.
