The foundation for our life together is the redeeming, unifying love of God made alive for us in Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit. This foundation guides us in our study, work, and play together. Therefore, while the community of Wartburg Theological Seminary, on the Dubuque campus and beyond, is involved in the pursuit of excellence in theological education, attention is also given to other aspects of life together. Our life together both reflects the holy fellowship we experience in being part of the Body of Christ, and impacts us as servant leaders in God’s church. Together, we are both co-creators and stewards of the Wartburg community, committed to creating a culture that has opportunities for celebration, forgiveness, and inclusion for all.
Handbooks
The Student and Community Life handbook is both roadmap and maintenance manual. It will help lift your eyes to the vision, help you find your way around, and help you learn how things work. The handbook is winnowed wisdom from decades of life together as the church of Christ and as Wartburg Seminary, responsive to the particularities of each academic year and ever-evolving as we continue to learn and grow in best practices for theological education and life together in community.
